Accreditation in continuing veterinary education: development of an accreditation system and selection of accreditation criteria

With the increased supply and demand of veterinary continuing education (CE) growing number CE providers, a clear need has arisen for multinational accreditation system CE. The objective this document is to describe current state development an CE, discuss criteria their pedagogical practical significance. hypothesis that profile essential, pedagogically grounded, can be established utilized effectively in quality assessment. Accreditation created based on four selection principles: educational minimum requirements, coherence, efficacy, assessability. selected are related needs assessment, correlation target audience level instruction, definition scope, workload, credits, organizer instructor qualifications, constructive alignment, assessment learning, learner engagement, scientific content. protocols should regularly re-evaluated modified close collaboration with relevant stakeholders. desired outcome including behavior change improvement practice ultimately human animal health, remains challenging predict course descriptions by further research needed.
